Within my work; no matter the visual, I have maintained a consistent message of connection. Otherness is a big influence to me and my way of being; and in that thought I have gravitated towards unity and consistency as a theme, which has come to dictate my morals as well as my art. Otherness creates cravings of identifying ones self within a community, which we all have felt, whether negatively or positively. We are affecting connections. The way I am able to show this connection is through continuity through one single line.  Regardless of the message, this life line or entangled visual displays the effect we have within our relations.

The use of continuous line as a visual theme is built aside multiple layers of color. The physical layering of paint and color represents the history of emotional build up, each color depicting the mood of each build. These elements are what construct my compositions which showcase abstract fears and joys through intentionally curated non-binary figures. Through each message, audiences are allowed a platform to relate to one another through my work.

Patches of canvas or thick charcoal may seem unfinished at moments throughout my practice, and that is the point. We as humans are never done growing, we are always going to be unfinished, and this is my way of saying it. Although incomplete, this state of unfinished is good; for once complete, there is no room for change. We all must strive to evolve alongside one another and never settle for anything less than what benefits every individual involved within this process.
